Coatepeque Lake



Coatepeque means “hill of the serpents”. Of volcanic origin, more than 50,000 years old formed by two separate eruptions, considered active by experts, Coatepeque is one of the most important lakes in El Salvador and considered on of the most beautiful in the world.

Costa del Sol



We will visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the country; we will enjoy one of everyone’s favorites: Costa del Sol. Next we will take an incredible boat trip to Jaltepec Bay to watch the migratory birds in the mangroves, flying fishes and see the three branches palm tree at Tasajera island where we will learn about the traditional tools and methods that the locals use to fish.

El Imposible

El Pital



The highest point in El Salvador (2730m) Enjoy the tranquility of the place, the beautiful landscapes, pines and cypress, crystal water rivers (Sumpul) and the vegetable and fruit plantations of the locals.

Chaguantique
Chaguantique means “Place with beautiful springs”. This protected tropical forest is the only place where we can still find the rare Spider monkey in his natural surroundings. What else? Rivers, lots of birds and butterflies like the big blue or blue morpho.

Alegría lagoon



We will visit the crater of Tecapa Volcano (1600m) - Inside we will find a beautiful emerald green lagoon. Also we will visit the town of Alegria which comes from Pipil descendants. Here, someone a local chieftain will share with us the legends of the town.

Jiquilisco Bay



Jiquilisco bay is one of our most important eco-systems. It is one of the biggest salad forest (mangroves). There you can visit the “holy spirit island”, where locals work in coconut plantations and produce coconut oil (boat trip).

Peace Route (Eco Albergue rió Sapo)
This is a trip to Perkin, where you will encounter an impressive view of the mountains of Morazan - a perfect place for eco tours, Bird watching, hiking and rappelling. The historical town of Perkin chronicles events from El Salvador’s civil war.
