GUEST BOOK - Surfing Trips

Thank you for visiting our pages. We would love it if you would like to add this to this guestbook! Please email us your story.

I just wanted to write and let everyone at Punta Mango know how much our group enjoyed your country.  We spent eight days in El Salvador(4 in the west and 4 in the east) and got world class treatment from your organization.  Our guide Luis Christian was the best. He treated us to some great waves, great food, and great imformation about all the spots we surfed.  From the time we landed Luis Christian had us coverd. He met us at the airport and took us our to hotel and 20 mins later we were in 2x overhead surf at Suzal.  We timed our trip excellently with a major swell  hitting the day we arrived(8/1/03).  Our time on the east was epic, 4 boat trips out to Punta Mango, wich we surfed head high waves with no more than 4 other surfers in the line up and and one day not another person in the line up.  During our trip in the east we met some surfers from Argentina who felt that having a guide was a "waste of money" boy were they wrong.  Luis was able to hook up the boat trips for us four days in a row, while those guys had to watch from the shore as we loaded up.  I can't say enough about Luis and what a great guide he was.  I also want to thank Rodrigo, who called daily to check with Luis to make sure the the trip was going smoothly.  If you can find time in your schedule get on a plane and head on over to El Salvador, it will be "worth the money" if you book a guide through Punta Mongo. Thanks again Ryan, Dain, Scott, Ryan, Bill, and Mark

Our family of 4 surfers had the best family trip ever last week. Without the connections, staff and equipment(great van for our 8 boards)that Punta Mango offers we know that it would have been impossible for our family to get around and surf El Salvador. Vladimir was so much fun to be with and took care of all our needs. He became a part of our family during our 10 day stay. Punta Mango is an amazing company that is very professional and well organized and we can't wait to return to the uncrowded waves and great people we met in El Salvador. Thanks for helping us plan and deliver such a great trip. Hank & Gail

I just got back from a great trip on the Wild East.  We had excellent, overhead surf for a week at Las Flores and Punta Mango which are top quality breaks.   Our tour guides (Luis and Tito) were excellent and they were always attentive to our needs.  They made made sure we surfed our brains out and also taught us about some of their history and took us into San Salvador for some nightlife and to see Myian ruins.  The Punta Mango guys know how to take care of you and are very professional.   Hats off to Luis and Tito.

Just got back from a surf trip with Punta Mango.  I highly recommend their company.  Cool guides that were always on time, great hotels, good surf shop, and everybody went out of their way to make the trip a great experience.
Thanks Joaquin and Rodrigo!

I wanted to write and express how much we enjoyed our stay in El Salvador and what a great job Vladimir did while taking us around.   Vladimir went out of his way to insure we had a great time and make everything perfect.  His knowledge of the country, surf and people throughout El Salvador made this one of the best trips I have ever taken!!!  We saw and experienced things that we never could have on our own.  From the moment Vladimir picked us up at the airport to the time he dropped us off, he treated us like old friends.  You have a truley remarkabled person in Vladimir working with you!!!  I wish you the best success with Mango Tours and look forward to our next opportunity to join you in your most beautiful country.

Greetings Rodrigo & crew! Had a wonderful time in your beautiful country, I hope to return sooner than later. Perico was my guide, but I had the good fortune of meeting most of your guides. All of them are really cool characters! Thanks again & continued success to you and your guides. Enjoy the ride!

Punta mango was more then I expected.  Lorenzo our guide was awesome.   He put us on the good waves and showed us around the country.  Dont think he could have done a better job.  The waves were insane, bottom line.  I hope the countries waves can stay as uncrowded as they are for a while longer, I want to come back before they do.  Rodrigo, no more magazine articles!

Hey Rodrigo, I just saw your website.  Looks great.  Brought back lots of memories of our trip back in 99 (with Frankie, Adam, Davie and Bennett).  We all felt it was the best surf trip we've ever been on.  Keep up the great work. What's Luis up to these days?    Richie B

Thanks for a great site. It brought back good memories
of my trip in July of 1977. I can still remember sitting way out at Zunzal watching the horizon rise up, and scrambling for
my life over a 10 wave set. Hope to return again, someday. Please mail or e-mail me your tour info about the "wild coast". Thanks. Bob Gibson.

Being a Puerto de La Libertad native and seeing the surf pictures brought a lot of good childhood memories. I left El puerto in 1973 and only returned once for three days to my Grandfathers funeral in 1995. I hope I can visit this or next year.
Thank you for the pictures and please keep updating.

Some of the spots you mention on the cite really ring a bell like LA BOCANITA, EL SUNZAL Y PUNTA ROCA( those were my favorites!) keep up the good work!!

Your web page brings back lots of memories. I surfed El Salvador in 1967-68 with Jeff Hackman and myself.  I know it has lots of waves. Great web site keep it up, don't give away all the secret spots. I have seen Puerto Rico develop the last thrirty years and there are few good spots left to surf that arent super crowded.  Check out our skateboard site at www.skateboardpr.com.   thanks Monty Smith

great site, I surfed the beaches in El Salvador since 1983.  Man did I have fun there, I glad someone finally had the guts and the determination to use this great natural resource of our country.  Miss those waves.  The photo shoot for December was incredible.  Keep up the good work.  Please tell Roy Beers that he is still ugly as shit even with the falcon on his arm. Never saw him surf either.   Well I send hello to all the surfers that used to meet at La Juanitas.  El JaJa, EL Yogi a todos los Alcala que todavian se encuentren surfeando. A los Samayoa.   Great presentation guys.  P.S.  I'm glad for unbelievers like bob, hey dont allow him to go surfing even if he pays three times as much.  Such a %&#   should not be allowed such a fantasy.

Thanks Rodrigo for your advice before our trip last month, we had a great holiday and your help enabled us to find some good waves and we had afantastic time at Fisherman's. This was some of the best food we had in El Salvador and the setting was great, the smaller kids loved the pools and the bigger ones loved the waves. We were able to introduce the thrills of surfing to some of our Salvadorean family who had never tried before, getting my board back was the hard part! Good luck to you guys, the country needs some enterprise to get tourism going. We saw a huge part of the country during our stay, travelling from Salinitas down to Mercedes Urmana past the Lempa River, all whilst based in San Salvador but going out in our minivan all day everyday.
If you need any help in getting business from the UK let me know, we have a large surfing community in Wales and Cornwall. I think that"Bob" should keep is condescending comments to himself and if he is afraid his use of the English language in its most sarcastic form will not be understood, then why does he not write in Spanish? It would of course been polite for him to send his email address but he probably gets enough rude mail already!
Good Luck, we'll be back! Don Genders, London, England.

The only way to really get everything El Salvador has to offer in terms of surf is with Punta Mango surf tours. They have the local knowledge, the transportation, the surf reports and access to fishing boats to make it easier to get to some hidden surf treasures. La Libertad is definitely the class spot, but it can be crowded with locals, international travelers and worst of all, boogieboarders everywhere. Punta Mango surf tours can help you and your friends realize your surfing fantasies by taking you to uncrowded, warm and hollow waves. Rodrigo Rules!

Punta Mango surf trip was great. Fantastic beaches, great waves, and most of all, excellent guides. Rodrigo and Luis know excellent breaks and there are no other people so no lining up for waves. We spent time in the "Wild East" as well as on the beaches near San Salvador (which by the way is a very nice town). I highly recommend the trip. Luis will also get you a date with one of his lovely relatives if you ask him nicely.
