Hello! It was a cloudy day and sea surface was as choppy as the rocky coastline... But there were plenty of big waves, too. Punta Roca has waves ranging between 4-7 feet and La Paz 3-5 feet. As it was weekend, there were a lot of surfers out this day. - [Thomas]

Hello! Punta Roca was fun this morning with just 2 surfers out, who went off at 7.45 pm, so that there were a lot of pristine waves... Sea surface was negligible choppy, very little side shore wind and waves ranged from 4-6 feet. We had some rain very early in the morning, but all in all it was a sunny morning... - [Thomas]

Hello! This morning we went to El Zonte and Km59, because waves at Punta Roca weren't as big as yesterday and the days before. It was a very cloudy morning with lots of rain early in the morning. Therefore sea surface was choppy and at Km59 the sea was really wild with very massive and big waves (5-7 feet) and current, too. After take-off (they were really difficult) you could ride some perfect barrels, too. Today's pictures show El Zonte (first pic) and Km59 (2nd and 3rd pic). - [Thomas]

Hello! Waves were as big as yesterday - some massive and headhigh or bigger sets, but most waves were between 3-5 feet. Choppy sea surface and on-shore wind - when I was taking today's pictures I haven't seen any surfers out. - [Thomas]

Hello! Punta Roca and La Paz were really fun this morning with plenty of waves for everyone. With waves ranging from 3-7 feet, this morning was awesome, but sea surface was little choppy, a little but permanent side shore wind and the most disturbing: a strong current. There were about 10 surfers out this morning. See you - [Thomas]
Sunzal was really good yesterday and today, it was bigger today with some solid double head sets but with some other sets that came through the middle section swiping out everyone and gave a hard time.

Hello! Punta Roca was pretty nice this morning with some awesome sets with waves ranging from 5-8 feet. A glassy sea surface, (very) little side shore wind, no current and only 6 surfers out. Sets consisted of approximately 3-4 waves and 3-5 minutes elapsed between sets. Today's pictures are from Punta Roca, except the last 2 pictures which I took at La Paz beach. Also La Paz beach was really fun this morning with 3-5 feet waves and very long lines. See you - [Thomas]

Sunday, 25 May 2003
Hello! Sunday morning was still like Saturday, but during the afternoon, there came in a new big, big swell with lots of fast and hollow waves (5-7 feet). I couldn't count all surfers, but it was really overcrowded! With the bigger waves we had a stronger current, too. But there was no wind and a clean sea surface. Unfortunatly I only took pictures from inside - this day - and either the camera didn't work well or I was to bad, so there are only 2 low-quality pictures (from La Paz) for this day... See you, [Thomas]

Hello! Waves were getting bigger on Saturday morning; between 2-4 feet. Sea was choppy, little side shore wind and only 2 surfers out. Afternoon was similar to the morning, apart from the risen number of surfers and boogie boarders. - [Thomas]

Hello! When I woke up this morning and watched the ocean a new name came into my mind: Lake Pacific! Ranging between 1 and 2 feet, you had to get your daily fun ration elsewhere... However, at 6 o'clock in the morning there was strong side-shore wind and choppy sea surface, which cleared up after 7 o'clock. I haven't seen any surfers out today... - [Thomas]

At the moment, La Libertad beaches are a really small wave area. That means that around 6 o'clock in the morning La Paz was around 1-3 feet and Punta Roca (between 7 and 8 o'clock) around 3-4 feet. At Punta Roca there were about 6 surfers, La Paz 3 surfers. Today we had off-shore wind (more side-shore than off-shore); however sea surface was clean and no current. - [Thomas]

Waves were smaller early in the morning (La Paz), about 2-3 feet. Around 8 o'clock, there came in some bigger waves (3-5 feet) and today's sea surface was more than clean... and still no wind and current. However, Punta Roca was really crowded this morning - I counted 13 surfers. - [Thomas]

¡Hola! Pretty nice waves (2-4 feet) this morning and only 6 surfers out. No wind, no current and a sunny (at last), clean sea surface gave the right conditions for a nice morning session. - [Thomas]
