Hi! The actual tropical depression still brings a lot of rain... This morning was still a
rainy one's - around 6 a.m. - but there was hardly any breath of wind and it cleared up
after 7 a.m. Sea surface was very choppy and sets brought a mess of waves ranging between
knee-high and chest-high. Water quality was bad again (muddy), because of all the
sediments from the rivers. No surfers out this time, neither at Punta Roca nor at La Paz.

Hi! Lots of rainfall during the night including a rainy morning, which cleared up shortly
after 6 a.m. However, there remained a partly strong side-/ off-shore wind (more off than
side) and sea surface was very choppy. Swell was inconsistend (came in from straight
south, travelling to north-west) and somewhat of a mess - waves at Punta Roca ranged from
knee-high to sometimes head-high (at low-tide). There were no surfers out this morning. - [Thomas]

Hi! Waves got bigger over night. Punta Roca had some nice waves from knee-high to
sometimes 1 or 2 feet overhead (mid-tide), but most waves in between. Sea surface was
choppy, no wind and about 8 surfers out. La Paz was very nice, too. And almost better as
there were no surfers out and waves between knee-high to chest-high. - [Thomas]

Saturday,
21 June 2003 & Sunday, 22 June 2003
Hi! On both days, beginners and intermediates found perfect surfing conditions. For
beginners, because there was a consistent swell with knee-high to almost chest-high
spilling waves and no current (La Paz). Sea surface was little choppy, no wind and as it
was weekend, especially in the afternoon, La Paz and Punta Roca got really crowded. - [Thomas]
Thursday,
19 June 2003 & Friday, 20 June 2003
Hi! Thursday was rainy, cloudy, windy, choppy, muddy... There were no significant swells
and no surfers out. Friday swells were somewhat bigger than on Thursday. However, water
was still muddy from all those sediments, which the rivers pour out right into the ocean
when there were lots of rainfalls. Friday morning was still rainy, cloudy, windy,
choppy...and no surfers out. - [Thomas]

Hi! It was a grey, cloudy and rainy morning (around 7a.m.). Sea surface was choppy
accompanied by a mixture of side and off-shore wind. At Punta Roca, most waves were about
knee-high till chest-high, rarely head-high. Sets came very inconsistend, sometimes
elapsed about 10 minutes... But when they came, they came in proper number, as you can see
on the photograph. At Punta Roca were 3 surfers out. - [Thomas]

June 2003
What a nice morning! Around 6.30 a.m. - sunny, no wind, sea surface little choppy and
waves, waves and waves..., which ranged at Punta Roca from waist-high (or smaller) to
almost 2 feet overhead, when there were only 4 surfers out (after high-tide with outgoing
sea)! At La Paz beach most waves were knee-high till waist-high, sometimes even
head-high... - [Thomas]

Hi! Cloudy morning (around 6.45 a.m.) where sea was at mid tide, but waves were still
big and awesome... Sea surface was choppy while there was a weak, partly side shore,
partly on shore wind. Sets at Punta Roca were at this early stage of the day more
inconsistend which changed around 7.30 - 8 a.m. With waves ranging from knee-high till
waist-high in between the sets, they got head-high or 2-3 feet overhead (around 8
a.m.). At Punta Roca were about 6-8 people out. Punta Roca rocks... - [Thomas]
